Shades Dancewear is thrilled to announce their attendance at the exciting IDS Dance Teacher Convention 2024!
This year, the convention will be held at the prestigious Elmhurst Ballet School in Birmingham from Tuesday 23rd to Thursday 25th July 2024. It is a remarkable opportunity for dance teachers and colleagues to connect with like-minded creatives from all over the UK who share our passion for dance, thirst for knowledge and drive for change. We all share a commitment to continue improving our dance practice, expanding our teaching skills and knowledge of diversity and inclusivity in dance. The Shades Dancewear mission is aligned with IDS values to continue expanding our diverse dance knowledge for the benefit of the future generations of dancers, performers, teachers and creatives.
Come and meet Shades Dancewear co-founder Laura Grant and TIRED Advisory Board Members Yolanda Offodile and Anna Morgan at the Shades Dancewear stand on Wednesday 24th July!
You will also have the opportunity to easily purchase from the Shades Dancewear diverse product range including skin tone Convertible Ballet Tights and Ballet Dance Support Belts across our diverse collection – shades Bojangles, Raven, Uday and Pearl.
#IGOTMYSHADE, have you got yours?
The TIRED Movement – Shades Dancewear’s non-profit sister organisation – will also be attending the IDS Dance Teachers Convention and delivering a powerful one-hour long talk on Wednesday 24th July, 9-10AM.
Led by the determined and inspirational TIRED Advisory Board Member Yolanda Offodile, Yolanda will deliver and explain the importance of appropriate teaching methods and language for all dance and performing arts teachers. Both the TIRED Movement, Shades Dancewear and IDS are understanding of what it means to not only be diverse, but inclusive.
This talk will take place on Wednesday 24th July at 9-10am. It will be recorded but not live-streamed so make sure you attend on the day, we’d love to see you and catch up afterwards!
